Every Sunday morning at 9:30 we welcome our University Students to a time of Bible Study from some of our fantastic Adult Couples. Life Groups provide a great time to grow alongside other University Students and to be mentored, taught, and loved by older adults.

Ryan & NAtalie Corona
Hey y'all!! Natalie and I could not be more excited for everyone to join us this fall. A little bit about ourselves: Natalie and I have been married 7 years and we welcomed our first kiddo this past Spring, Danny Corona aka Little Bear. Natalie and I are both Texas Tech Alumni and of course love all things Tech Sports (Guns Up!!). Natalie loves spending time in the kitchen and trying out new recipes and Ryan is all about the pizza...eating, making, and even talking pizza. First Lubbock has been our home since 2013 and we have been honored to walk along side University Students for the past 4 years. This fall we will dive into 2 Corinthians where we will all be challenged to turn our worldly values on their heads and follow in the footsteps of our crucified Messiah.
Jim & KAren Higgins
Jim and Karen have been members of FBC Lubbock for over 30 years and have just recently celebrated 35 years of marriage. They have three daughters; Alison, Stephanie, and Katie. They have been blessed with four grandchildren; Kelsey, Pierce, Cullen and Emma Kate. Karen, a Baylor graduate, is a commercial real estate broker at WestMark Realtors and Jim, a Texas Tech graduate, is a Pediatric Gastroenterologist with Covenant Medical Group. They enjoy traveling, cooking and spending a time with the grandkids who all live in Lubbock. They have a passion for university students and look forward to encouraging you during your time in college.
We will be starting a verse by verse study through the Book of Acts this year. One of the foundational books of the New Testament, Acts is a historical and chronological account of the early church and provides important understanding of how the Gospel is for ALL nations.
Chad & Brianna Sales
Chad & Brianna Sales have been married for 12 years and have two daughters, Madeleine (first grade) & Fallon (kindergarten). They have been attending First Lubbock for 10 years and have been serving in the University ministry for 4 years. In their spare time, they love to cook together and watch their favorite show, Friends.
This semester Chad & Brianna will be leading their lifegroup through a study of the book of Matthew. The Old Testament ends with a sense of despair for the Nation of Israel. The Gospel of Matthew tells the story of how the Kingdom of God was brought to earth through the incarnation of Jesus Christ and how He was the unexpected fulfillment of all of Israel's hope for their Messiah. Come dive into the Gospel of Matthew and learn how Jesus fits into the larger narrative of how God utilized Israel to accomplish His purposes of redemption.
