Tell us a bit about yourself.  When did you come to First Lubbock?

I was born and raised in Lubbock and have been playing drums since I was eleven. My wife and I have five kids, and we love raising them and doing life with them. 

I came to First Lubbock in 2006 as a fill-in drummer for Paradigm (former college worship service) and ended up coming on full-time for the 9:30 ministry in 2007 and 11:00 service in 2011.

What's your favorite place you've visited?

Turks and Caicos where I married my wife and our families officially joined together.

 

Other than Jesus, what historical figure would you most like to meet?

​I would love to have met JRR Tolkien. I would talk his ear off about his career in creating Middle Earth and his love for Jesus that inspired it.

What are a few of your hobbies?

Drumming, reading, working out, throwing the baseball, watching all the sports when I can and playing PS5.​

What do you love most about First Lubbock?

I love the people here! We have been through many ups and downs and have stayed the course and are looking toward a brighter future!

 

What would you say to a guest to encourage them on their journey to finding a church home?

I would say come visit for a month at minimum. Churches are full of imperfect people, so a month will give someone a really good idea if this is the church home for them.
